This day last year

Well the same day last year was the day I left to Bangalore to join I-Flex solutions, my first job, well that was a real sweet moment in my life!!! I still deeply regret for my stupid decision for the transfer to Chennai. I should have said "no" well its almost 8 months since I came back. The transition was like from heaven to hell. But still it was a real paradise when I think of those first few days at work it makes me smile. What an experience it was!!! One more important thing happened on the same day, my final engineering results were out!!! Four years of college life officially ended on this particular day last year. It was one of the most happiest moment in my life!!!!

2007— An unforgettable year!!!!

Finally I switched on my comp and open rediff to check with the share market, man the market opened 350 points down!!!!! It was really disappointing to know that I was losing more money. So I decided to check with the news, had a nice time pass till 11AM. Took a break at 11 came back at 1130 did some browsing till 1. Lunch break at 1 came back at 2, Did some browsing till 4 took a break came back did some browsing till 530 left office n came back home at 6. Man what a day!!! Trip to North India

After the 7th semester exams it was the time for our last trip in collage life, so we headed to North India. We left on a train to Delhi well it was a 36 hour journey!!!! Thanks to all the excitement we had cos it helped us to pass the time n we reached Agra in no time. We checked in to some hotel in Agra took some rest n took off to The Taj Mahal one of the seven wonders in the world. The weather was absolutely fantastic… Here’s a pic of me in Taj Mahal:-

After hanging around it Taj Mahal we came took a train to Hazarath Nizamudhin n reached there at around 730 in the evening, had our dinner in some happening place. Finally at around 11 in the night we took a bus to simla. The journey was amazing. Next day morning our bus stopped at Kurukshethra, Full credit goes to the fog as the viewing distance was only some 20 feet!!! Check out the pic taken there:-

We finally reached Simla in the evening n we were hanging around simla the whole night. The sun-set in simla was also beautiful. Here’s a pic taken after sun-set in simla:-

Next day morning we went to kufri a tourist spot near simla. We had to climb some mountains. So we had to go on a horse ride. Man that horse ride was scary!!!!

The city of Chandigarh

When I stepped into the city of Chandigarh I asked myself if I was in India. This is the first feeling that you get when you go to this beautiful city. Chandigarh is the most well planned city in India. It was designed by some French architect, man he is a genius!!! There is a separate route for buses, which makes traffic very smooth moving. There are a variety of tourist spots around the city. I wish that I had a job in cities like Chandigarh wherein you can go on a trip almost every week to some place!!! Well Chandigarh is an ideal place to settle down after retirement...

Kulu Manali

After spending some time in simla we started this long journey to kulu manali. A real paradise in the Himalayas. We reached kulu at 1 in the night man it was real cold!!! It was freezing!!!! Next day morning we were off to snow point. A place in kulu manali filled with snow. Unfortunately we were not able to go to rothang pass due to the snow fall L Snow point was simply beautiful it had 3 colors they were the white color of the snow, green color of the trees and the blue color of the sky, man it was a real beauty!!!

Kamal’s Dasavatharam

Dasavatharam was kamal’s latest venture. Kamal Hassan is a well known actor-director-singer-writer of India. Kamal is also known for the bold steps that he takes in making different movies. Almost all movies that he made has different roles. Speaking about roles the kamal did ten different roles in one movie. Could you imagine a single man doing 10 different roles. That’s why this movie is named as dasavathram, here dasa means 10 n avatharam means roles. When you watch the movie u might think that its just a normal movie. If that’s the case with you then you are wrong. After watching the movie just think about it for some time you will feel the difference. The movie has an amazing logic and the way kamal has written the screenplay is truly amazing. The way in which he has interlinked all the 10 characters in the movie is absolutely stunning!!! The main point here is kamal makes you think about the movie like how did this come? Why did that happen? So for all the people reading this post do watch this movie.
P.S I typed this post all be myself so don’t sue me for copying

Traffic in Chennai

Traffic in Chennai is growing exponentially these days, at the same time its becoming a menace thanks to all the autos and bicycles on the road. These people driving autos and bicycle have absolutely no idea of where they are going the suddenly come to the middle of the road without any indication and also move to the corner when they want to, at least autos carrying people will have some definite direction and idea of where they are heading. Empty autos will you drive you crazy for sure, whether you are driving or walking or just standing on the road waiting for someone the autos will drive you crazy. Try for yourself, go and just stand in some main road at least some 10 to 15 autos will come and ask “Saaar savari saar” the moment they see someone standing on the road they’ll come to you from the middle of the road to the corner to ask you for a savari, during this process everyone driving behind the auto go crazy!!!! The amount of money they ask you for a drive is so expensive that you can travel to Bangalore with that money, once I asked the charge from T.Nagar to Anna Nagar the distance is some 10kms for which he happily said 110 rupees saar, I was like “FUCK!!!!!” the train ticket from Chennai to Bangalore is 115 rupees!!!!!! I am not telling that these auto people should stop asking people for savari, its their business let them do it without disturbing others. If u scold them for careless driving they’ll abuse u with some of the worst tamil words. The best comedy is all the autos have a meter!!!!! Which is just an indication that it’s a public service auto, if u ask them to switch on the meter they won’t let you in. This is why autos in Bangalore are far better they have some strict rules that the auto drivers should use the meter to charge the passengers. Well I think this is enough, you can go on complaining continuously about the autos…

Me @ work

I work in i-Flex solutions, the name of the company sounds good all the other things is worst!!! Well that’s my opinion…. Am currently working in China Trust Commercial bank project, phase 2 of this project is now going on n I am currently not allotted into any teams. In other words am on bench. This is how my work goes these days. Every day morning I leave home at 9 in the morning reach office at around 930 check mail. The stock markets open at 9:55 so tension starts at 9:45 on whether its gonna be a good opening or a bad one J after that ill be checking out some news by that time it will be 10:30, then I try to do something useful be reading some technical stuffs. At 11 is my first break we go down to the juice shop spend some time there n come back at around 1130. Will spend the next 30 mins on checking the stock market and the latest news happening all around the world. At 12 I resume my studies till 12:45 n then check the stock markets again. At 1 we go to lunch, finish it in 15 mins and go to the resting room have a short nap n come back at around 2 PM. Post lunch session is too difficult to handle since ull be dozing off. Will try to do some time pass by reading some e-mails, articles. When there is no other option I sit and learn some new banking and technical concepts. Then the real tension starts at 330 hows the stock markets gonna close!!!! So from 340 to 350 I check with all the stocks that I have bought the result as usual will be in negative I get a feeling like “Oh fuck another 1000 rupees loss” damn screw it!!! At 4 we go to the juice shop for a break come back at around 430. Do some time pass till 530 fill my timesheets and go back home to blog J What kind of life is this?????

Tips to climb up the so called corporate ladder

This post is intended for the following audience:-
1. People working in software companies a.k.a corporate world(As ppl call it).
2. People who have no idea of about software.
3. People who desperately wants increment.
4. All wanna-be’s in the industry.
Well if u fall under any of the above mentioned category this post is for you. There are 2 different ways to impress your supervisor. The first one is to be a workaholic ie work work n work, well for this you need to know everything top to bottom. If you find the first method difficult then here goes an alternative, even if u know some small thing about the module or the project that you are working on go n tell it to ur tl in a big-way, make him or her think that you are a genius and you know everything about your project. Stay late hours, leave after they leave and if you do it your supervisor will come n ask “hey are you still staying” reply telling him or her that “ive got an issue to fix” or “This particular deliverable is not working in this new environment” and so on. After your supervisor leaves just switch off your system and leave happily, be sure to come early before your supervisor. Whenever he or she comes near your system pretend that you are very busy. These are the only two methods available to get a good name and also a good pay in the company. Many of my colleagues follow method 2 for their success. I’ve not tried either one of the two methods, cos method 2 sucks big time and method 1 is for suckers!!! What I do is finish my work and leave. I never stay for late hours If there is no work. For people following method 2 “You Suck!!!!!”

Pondycherry trip

I’ve been to Pondycherry(pondy) many times. The latest trip happened last month with my office friends in Chennai. This was the first trip with this particular new set of friends. As usual it was a fun-filled trip. We left Chennai on Saturday morning on a bus to pondy. It’s a 3 hour journey along the ECR(East Coast Road). After reaching pondy we checked into some hotel there, we bought drinks(booze) pondy is famous for drinks since there is no tax for liquor J So after boozing for nearly 3 hours we took some rest and took off to the beach. We were hanging around the beach for some 3 hours, had our dinner and came back to the hotel and slept. Next day morning we went to Aurobindho Ashram Spent some time there, then we went to the beach as the ashram was neat the beach. Here’s a pic of pondy beach:-

The Aurobindho ashram is one of the main landmark of Pondycherry it’s a peaceful place where one can come and meditate for hours. After spending some quality time at the ashram we went to an island beach, this place comes in the cuddalore high way. We had to travel by boat to the island, it was a 15 minute ride on the boat. Here’s a pic of the island beach:-

After spending some time there we came back to the bus stand, had our lunch n then came back to Chennai on Sunday night. On the whole it was an amazing trip…

So called corporate life

People working in software companies work almost 10 to 12 hours a day, of course there are some exceptions me being one J people outside think that these ppl are real hard working ones n some crap!!! They also think that the work as a software engineer lots of skills and hard work, if you hear someone come n tell u these words ask them to go to hell. It’s all crap almost 75% of ppl working in software companies would have completed Electrical, mechanical, electronics and communication, industrial and so on, after spending 4 years studying about machines and electricity these people get placed in software companies during college campus recruitment n they call themselves software engineers, techies, software professional and so on!!!! Well if u see such a person ask them this question:- Why the fuck did u spend 4 of your fucking years doing a degree that is not related to your work that you are doing? Whenever I see these ppl working in software companies I don’t get angry but I feel sorry for them, poor people they wasted 4 years in their life!!!!! I did my engineering in Information Technology and am working in a software company, my work is related to my degree, luckily I didn’t waste 4 years in my life.

The difference between Bangalore office and Chennai office

When I got posted in Chennai it was like coming back to school from collage. School is a place where your teachers always push you to the extent to perform well, that was and is the same case in Chennai office. The school where I studied was a real strict one, the collage I studied was a real cool one. This is why I got the feeling that I was back in school after spending my days in collage. My office in Chennai lacks one important aspect that is professionalism n there are 2 main ppl in my team who thinks that they are cool by being strict. Almost 10 ppl have quit the company since I joined. Some 5 more are expected to quit soon. There is this one guy among the 2 main ppl mentioned above who always watches ppl wherever they go. Think his punch line is similar to vodafone’s punch line “Wherever u go inside the office my eye watches you”. You are expected to stay for long hours that’s it having work or not you have to stay for long hours. If u leave early then you r finished, you’ll be asked to come on weekends. I am willing to stop it here or else it will become a never-ending post.

Life @ Bangalore

Bangalore is considered as the IT hub of India cos you can find almost any software company there. Due to the large number of IT companies and small roads the traffic in Bangalore is horrible!!! I reached Bangalore on july the 22nd morning. July 23rd 2007 was my first day at iFlex solutions, that first 3 days was pretty horrible I had to travel all the way to whitefield from jayanagar. With all those traffic man it was a real horror!!!! There were nearly 90 freshers n we were divided into 3 batches. Then started the induction training those days were like collage days, we had some real fun. More fun was available when we got posted in Diamond District Office for product specific training. For nearly one and a half months we had loads of fun and enjoyment. At the end of the training my supervisor there asked me if I would like a transfer to Chennai. Without thinking about anything else I simply said “Yes” I still consider it as the most stupid decision of my life!!! 3 of us were posted in Chennai, before leaving we took all the ppl of our batch to a treat. On the whole I spent 3 months in Bangalore n all everyday were fun filled ones. I miss those days more than collage days. Here's one pic of my office in bangalore:-

Trip to Udupi, Mangalore and Manipal

This was my 4th trip with my Bangalore friends, it was another fun filled trip. The train journey to Mangalore was a long one. We left Chennai at around 11:30 on Thursday and reached Mangalore at 5 AM, well it was of course a very long journey. The train reached Erode at around 530 in the evening. It was the sun-set time n there was no clouds in the sky. After the train left erode it was more beautiful and here’s a perfectly timed pic taken during the train journey:-

After reaching Mangalore we took a bus to Udupi, It was almost an hour journey. We finally met our friends there n checked into some hotel where we took some rest. At around 10 we went to the krishna temple in udupi. It’s one of the most popular temple in south India. At evening we took off to malpe beach, man it was beautiful!!!! Malpe beach is a white sand beach, checkout the pic:-
We stayed in malpe beach till 7PM hoping to see a sun-set but due those stupid clouds it was completely blocked!!!!! This is how the sun-set looked like due to those stupid clouds:-
The next stop was manipal!!!! Manipal is one of the most happening places… The whole place is just an university, full of beautiful girls J. We had our dinner at manipal and came back to our hotel in udupi.
Next morning we took off to St.Mary’s Island. It’s an island near the malpe beach. We reached the malpe harbor from there we took a boat to St.Mary’s Island. Take a look at The St.Mary’s Island from the boat:-
Do visit this island before its too late, it might be submerged soon due to global warming. This is a pic taken in the island:-
After having a blast at St.Mary’s island we went back to our hotel took some rest n took off to manipal end-point, a scenic place. Here’s a pic of manipal end point:-
Next day morning we reached Mangalore. Mangalore is a beautiful, small and a peaceful city here’s a pic of mangalore city:-
That night we took a train n finally reached Chennai the next day. Man it was yet another amazing trip!!!!

Kemanagundi road trip

Kemanagundi is a hill station in Karnataka, well it’s not an ordinary or a typical hill station. One unique thing about kemanagundi is shown in the pic below:-

I hope you got it. This particular trip is not an ordinary one for me it was a road trip!!!! We travelled to kemanagundi on bikes!!!!! It was an amazing experience. We left Bangalore at around 5 in the morning n reached Tumkur highway at around 6. It was sun rise time this is how the sun looked at 6 in the morning:

We continued travelled on and on and on. It was an amazing ride, here’s a pic:

We finally reached kemanagundi at around 4 in the evening took some rest n then we were off to the sun-set point. Man!!! Ive never seen such a beautiful sun-set n it can’t get better than this!!! Heres a pic:
After the sun-set the sky started showing up some amazing colors like this:-

Next day morning we took off to hebbe falls we took a jeep tiill one point after which we had to trek. There was a small 20 mins trek to hebbe falls. It was a small falls but it formed a mist due to the down force. It was an amazing view. Check out the pic below:-

Finally on Monday morning we left kemanagundi and reached Bangalore on the same day evening. Man it was an amazing trip!!!!

Trip to gokarna

Gokarna is a sexy place in north Karnataka, it comes 120 kms below goa. Gokarna is supposed to be a holy place. It’s actually a temple town the main god here is Lord Shiva. It has an amazing tourist attraction more than 60% ppl living here are foreigners. Gokarna has 5 beaches each one separated with a small mountain. It’s a must see place, if you are reading this take my word, go there it’s an amazing place for relaxation…
The name of the first beach is gokarna beach. This one is kind of dirty, thanks to the crowd as the number of people visiting this beach is very high. Here’s a pic of gokarna beach:-

We started trekking to the second beach since all these beaches were separated by mountains. We finally reached kudlee beach. Here’s a pic of kudlee beach from the mountain top:-

After reaching kedlee we started of to the OHM beach, Ohm beach was the most beautiful beach I have seen. Here’s a pic check out the shape of the rocks you could actually see the OHM symbol.

We got exhausted due to continuous trekking so we finally decided to take a boat instead of trekking. After having lunch at ohm beach we took a boat to half-moon beach, here’s a pic of half-moon beach. The name given to this particular beach is due to its half-moon shape.

Next stop was at paradise beach, man it’s a real paradise!!!!! Here ‘s a pic of the paradise beach…
After spending some time at paradise beach we went back to gokarna beach…

Trip to badhra forest:

I consider this the trip badhra forest as a very special one indeed bcos of the following reasons:-
1. It was my first trek.
2. My first trip with a new set of friends.
3. My first journey into a forest.
It was a Saturday morning we reached the forest gates where we got a guide. No one really expected the news that all the jeeps ie the safaris was not in a good condition and we have to trek into the the forest!!!! We were all excited and deep inside my heart was a fear(a terror felling). Finally we entered the forest this is how it looked like:-

The above pic is the path in which we trekked 28 kms up n down. On the way to the forest we visited the badhra backwaters, the guide happily said that this waters were infested with crocs!!!!! So we put off an escape n entered the core area of the forest. After trekking some 10 meters into the core area there came a sound “Growl!!!” it was a tiger n I could hear my heart beat!!!! It was a great experience, with a trembling voice I asked the guide where is the tiger he coolly replied that its hiding somewhere near the bush n he asked us to continue!!!!! Finally we reached sukalati a place 14 kms into the forest it was a sexy place. A house surrounded by dense forest and fresh air without any pollution. Here is a pic of sukalati :-

On Sunday morning we started our trek back, this time it was more thrilling almost a kilometer of our path contained fresh tiger footprints here is one pic of the footprint:-

There was some deer footprints near the tiger’s footprints guess there was a big chase… Finally when the trek was completed we were completely exhausted, but that didn’t stop us we went to the forest lodge for some water sports here’s a pic of the water sports:-

After having a nice time at the back waters we went back to shimoga n reached Bangalore on Monday morning.

Trip to goa

I would like to start off with my blog with a post about my amazing trip to goa it was one hell of a trip. There was nearly 10 ppl including me all of us had one main principle in life that was to enjoy life to the fullest we had no worries of whats gonna happen next so we were all set for a trip filled with fun and excitement.
The train journey to goa from chennai was an unforgettable one and the credit goes to the south west monsoon for bringing non stop rain, the railway track was built over sand and due to the rain the sand was loose. We saw some derailed trains luckily those were goods train, it was a real nightmare to watch the trains n hear horror stories from other passengers about the waterfalls thats gonna come on the way, seems the amount of water in the falls is very high during the rains making it difficult for the trains to pass by. Check out the view of the falls from the train
The above pic is the view of the waterfalls from the train. From the outside it looks like this
I forgot the name of this beautiful falls all i remember is it ends with ganga. Full credit goes to the British ppl for constructing this sexy bridge. Finally we reached vasco city of goa n the next three days were fun filled. This pic was taken in fort aguda beach.
It was a beautiful view of the beach from the top. The combination was like this, trees, grass the grey sky n the sea. The next day after roaming around goa we went to a pub named lindas. There the great brothers got stoned in a similar way check out the pic below for some laughter.
hee hee hee look at them :)
